Pslams chapter one begins with the following: "Blessed (happy) is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful."
Psalms 1 is my favorite scripture. I love it because it is a progression. It shows a progression of walking, standing, then sitting.
Here's some imagery: imagine a man (walking) but then noticing an attractive woman in a red dress. Enthralled by her beauty he stops to get a better look (standing) and speak to her. Finally, he takes a (seat) to began a full interaction with her.
The #progression in the scripture shows me how we can #progressively become involved in sin and get deeper and deeper in. I also love it because it contains a #but. (Gotta love a good but right?) In verse two the word but effectively removes the sin progression giving direction as to what #to do. "But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in it he meditates day and night." We are to enjoy learning what God is saying in His word constantly. So that we can be productive and fruitful in all that we do in the way #HE desires. (Carrying out #HIS preferences.)
